Hazel's Ham and Potato Casserole

Cook equal amounts of cubed ham and diced potatoes (approx. 2 cups each).
Cook potatoes in shallow water and when they boil, put ham on top of potatoes and cook 10 min.
Make white sauce, using water from the potatoes. Add very little salt as ham is salty.
Mix together in casserole dish. Cover with crushed saltine cracker crumbs and dot with butter. Bake 350 degrees for 30 min.
