Chocolate Nut Cookies
- 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon almond flavoring
- 2 cups flour
- ¼ cup baking cocoa
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup vanilla baking chips
- 1 cup chopped almonds
- In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add egg and flavoring; mix well.
- Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well.
- Stir in chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets.
- Bake at 375 for 9 minutes. Cool on pans for 1 minute before removing to wire racks; cool completely.
- Servings/Yield: 40 cookies
