Chocolate Nut Cookies

Chocolate Nut Cookies
 
  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon almond flavoring
  • 2 cups flour
  • ¼ cup baking cocoa
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup vanilla baking chips
  • 1 cup chopped almonds
  • In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add egg and flavoring; mix well.
  •  Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well. 
  • Stir in chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets.
  • Bake at 375 for 9 minutes. Cool on pans for 1 minute before removing to wire racks; cool completely.
  • Servings/Yield: 40 cookies
