Lasagna

Lasagna
 
  • 1 ½ lbs. ground beef
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1.5 packages thick and zesty spaghetti sauce mix
  • 1 12 ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1 28 ounce can peeled tomatoes
  • 1 pound mozarella cheese, sliced
  • 1 8 ounce box lasagna noodles
  • 1 lbs. cottage cheese
  • Brown beef. Add garlic, spaghetti sauce mix, tomato sauce and tomatoes. Simmer covered for 40-60 minutes. 
  • While above is simmering, bring pot of water to boil. Add 1 Tablespoon oil and cook noodles. Strain and cool.
  • In casserole dish, layer noodles, 1/3 meat sauce, 1/3 cottage cheese, small squares of mozzerella cheese. Repeat 3 times.
  • Refrigerate overnight. Bake 350 40-45 minutes. Serve with garlic bread.
