1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Cream butter, shortening, and sugars. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients. Roll out and cut out shapes. Bake 350 7-8 min. Makes 2 dozen.
