Cinnamon Apple Jelly

Cinnamon Apple Jelly
 
  • 4 cups apple juice
  • 1 2 1/2 ounce MCP
  • red food coloring
  • 4 ½ cups sugar
  • 3-4 tablespoons red cinnamon candies
  • Combine apple juice, pectin, and several drops of food coloring in a large saucepan. Bring to hard boil.
  • Stir in sugar and candies. Bring to full boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat and skim. Pour into jars and seal.
  • Variations: Mint-Apple: Follow directions for Cinnamon Apple except combine 6 drops green food coloring and 1 cup lightly packed mint leaves with juice and pectin. Omit red food coloring.
  • Servings/Yield: 8 glasses
