French Onion Chip Dip

1 16-ounce carton sour cream
1 can French Onion Soup, (Campbell's)

Directions:
Drain off juice from soup and set aside in a bowl. Pour onions into a medium bowl and add sour cream. Add onion soup liquid a little at a time until desired consistency and flavor. Chill until ready to serve. (Can keep onion soup liquid to continue adding to the dip to increase flavor if desired. Dip thickens as it chills in refrigerator.)

We always had this at Christmas time.
