Brownies
- 2 cubes butter or margarine
- 6 tablespoons cocoa
- 5 eggs, beaten
- 2 ½ cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- nuts, optional
- Bake 350 for 25-30 minutes.

This was mom's favorite brownie recipe.
ReplyDeleteThe copy I have says to melt and cool in a double boiler saucepan the 2 cubes of butter or margarine and 2 squares unsweetened chocolate or 6 Tablespoons of cocoa. Then add this mixture to the eggs and sugar. Add the dry ingredients and mix well. Pour into a 9x13 cake pan and bake.
