Ginger Cookies
- 1 ½ cups shortening
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup molasses
- 4 ½ cups flour
- 2 teaspoons soda
- 1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 4 teaspoons ginger
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and remaining ingredients.
- Roll into balls; drop in coarse sugar. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
