Ginger Cookies

Ginger Cookies
 
  • 1 ½ cups shortening
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup molasses
  • 4 ½ cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons soda
  • 1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 4 teaspoons ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and remaining ingredients.
  •  Roll into balls; drop in coarse sugar. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.

    4 cups flour
    2 teaspoons cinnamon
    2 teaspoons cloves
    2 teaspoons ginger
    1 teaspoon salt
