Raw Apple Pudding Cake

Raw Apple Pudding Cake
 
  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups apple , shredded
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons soda
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup raisins
  • ½ cup nuts, chopped
  • Cream butter, add sugar, eggs, apples. Sift dry ingredients into mixture. 
  • Add raisins and nuts.
  • Put in 9x13 pan. Bake 350 approx. 45 minutes. If using 2 9x9 pans- bake for 35 minutes.

  1. Serve plain or with a dollop of whipped cream and/or Vanilla Sauce:
    2 cups sugar
    2 cups brown sugar
    1 cup butter
    1/4 cup cornstarch
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    4 cups water

    In saucepan, combine all the ingredients. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened. Serve warm. This makes more than enough but will keep well.
