Raw Apple Pudding Cake
- ½ cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 cups apple , shredded
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons soda
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup raisins
- ½ cup nuts, chopped
- Cream butter, add sugar, eggs, apples. Sift dry ingredients into mixture.
- Add raisins and nuts.
- Put in 9x13 pan. Bake 350 approx. 45 minutes. If using 2 9x9 pans- bake for 35 minutes.

Serve plain or with a dollop of whipped cream and/or Vanilla Sauce:

2 cups brown sugar
1 cup butter
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 cups water
In saucepan, combine all the ingredients. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened. Serve warm. This makes more than enough but will keep well.
